Dino is also an invited professor for Tech Based Entrepreneurship. Dino co-founded Critical Software SA, that he recently exited. Critical Software SA is an international software company headquartered in Coimbra, Portugal, with offices in Lisbon, Bucharest, Romania and San Jose, California. He is also a Board member at Critical Software Technologies Limited, UK, Critical Links, US and Critical Materials, PT. At Critical Software, he is responsible for the Business Development, including R&D strategy. He was formerly in charge of Business Development for Aeronautics, Space, Defence and Transport markets at Critical Software, supervising European business operations. Dino holds a BSc and an MSc in Informatics Engineering and Computer Systems Architecture from the University of Coimbra, Portugal. At Critical Software, he successfully growth and manage 2 business units operating on Space & Ground Software Systems, with a global customer base including the main world space agencies and leading Prime Contractors. Dino has been a researcher at the Dependable Systems Group at the Center for In-formatics and Systems of the University of Coimbra since 1993 and prior to joining Critical Software. During his research activities, he has been author of more than 20 papers on conferences, workshops, magazines, and book chapters on the subject of computer software dependability. He is a member of IEEE since 1998.

Previously president of CCDR Centro (Center Regional Coordination and Development Committee), executive member of steering committee of POR Centro and administrator of Bissaya Barreto Foundation. Was also a president of the Board of Directors of Electrical Engineering department and member of the board of Faculty of Science and Technology of University of Coimbra. Consultant of ICT in various institutions among which CTT, Agência de Inovação (Agency of Innovation), Citeve, IPN, Siemens, Novabase, Medidata. Graduated in Electrical Engineering from the University of Porto with a post-graduate degree in Computer Sciences from University of Coimbra.

Prior to ISA, André was Chief Revenue Officer of EyeSee, an adtech startup with a disruptive solution for image and video digital advertising, having also worked as Global Business Manager in Nokia Siemens Networks, Project Manager in Alcatel-Lucent, Technical Support at Portugal Telecom and Researcher in Siemens.

He has been a lawyer since 1996, practicing, from 1996 to 2000 and from 2005 to 2010, in several fields, such us contentious civil action, criminal economic law and providing legal advice to companies regarding commercial, company and financial law. In 2009, he became a partner at Proença de Carvalho – Sociedade de Advogados. He is responsible for Renova’s law department, a group with companies in Portgal, Spain, France and Benelux, since 1999. He is an assistant professor at the University of Coimbra’s Law Faculty, responsible for practical and theory classes in Company Law (Labour Law and Commercial Law), since 1999. He has been teaching, on a regular basis, post-graduation courses, in the following areas: European Company Law, Labour Law, Health Law and Sports Law.
