ISA is an
official member of ESMA
 The
field of AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) has been the focus of many great
developments at ISA. Within that scope, ISA is continuously striving to
acquire the instruments and tools which enable it to remain on the
cutting edge, while having access to privileged information. With that
goal in mind, ISA has decided to join the ESMA (European Smart Metering
Alliance) project, becoming a full member in May.
ESMA pursues a variety of objectives being the most pertinent one the
generation of several documents in the field of smart metering in
Europe. Their main goal is to maximize the environmental benefits
associated with AMR and to provide consumers with the tools that will
allow them to optimize their energy consumption.
ISA thus reinforces its strategic investment in AMR and its willingness
to play a growing role in that area. .

ISA takes a participation in Blueworks
For the last 2 years, ISA has pursued
activities in the fields of healthcare, namely in the acquisition,
processing, and remote transmission of vital statistics. Under the scope
of those projects, ISA has associated itself with BlueWorks – Medical
Expert Diagnosis, a company that has the stated goal of developing and
launching innovative pre-diagnosis systems for the world market. Those
systems are based upon the intelligent processing of data and images
from clinical exams and their analysis by neural networks. With its
association with this project, ISA seeks to pro actively broaden its
contribution to the pioneering developments in the fields of healthcare
that BlueWorks intends to carry out. |

ISA enjoys new success at AEGPL
 ISA
was once again present at the AEGPL Congress and Fair, which was held
June 6th-8th in Nice, France. This is the major event in the field of
LPG, representing a great business opportunity for all LPG players.
This year the conference program emphasized innovative activities in the
field of LPG, in the European energetic context. ISA actively
participated in this event, making a presentation entitled “Domestic
Energy Efficiency supported by Multi-Utility Metering”. The presentation
made reference to a project developed in cooperation with Quercus, a
Portuguese NGO dedicated to environmental issues. The project aims to
develop a tool that will help households to evaluate their energy
consumptions, thus obtaining potential energy savings. This
communication was also a great opportunity to underline ISA’s leadership
position in the LPG telemetry market.

Mission: Moscow
The tradeshow “Portugal, more than you can imagine” took place in
Moscow on May 28th-30th. ISA once more had a major impact by presenting
innovative solutions in fields such as AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) and
M2M (Machine to Machine) communication, with applications in Energetic
Efficiency. The show’s main goal was to project a new image of Portugal
as a country willing to place a bet on innovation, creativity and
customized solutions, while promoting our country's leadership in
several niche markets. The tradeshow took place in parallel with the
Portuguese Prime Minister's official visit to Russia, which sought to
strengthen bilateral and commercial relationships between both
countries. The entourage included representatives from leading
Portuguese IT companies, including ISA.

ISA Summer Party at Tocha
Summer 2007 has just started and the ISA family heads to the beach.
ISA's present employees and their families enjoyed a pleasant BBQ at
Tocha.
The main course was the roasting of a 40 kg pork which delighted the
more than 50 invitees present, after some magnificent appetizers made of
an assortment of Portuguese Sausages and a seductive pool of ice, beer,
and refreshments which, from beginning to end, triggered some dangerous
temptations among the smaller guests who, sneaking from their parents,
made every possible effort to dive in.
Two days earlier, all ISA employees also got together for the official
Family Portrait of the ever expanding ISA greater family.
