More than 15,000 tanks installed worldwide
ISA has surpassed the barrier of 15,000 GSM based M2M systems installed
worldwide. The most significant contribution to this figure came from
project adjudications to Galp, BP, Repsol and Butagaz.

Two
new products presented in France
ISA has been present at M2M Forum and International Congress
for Wireless Sensors & Networks in Paris, presenting the new
products iEyeMeter and iComLink.
iEyeMeter is an
electronic eye that can be snapped to any electricity, gas or water
meter enabling it for Automatic Meter Reading.
iComLink is a GPRS gateway that
allows the remotization of Ethernet, RS232, RS485 and I/O ports.

ISA has

Association of IT and Electronic Companies. The IT-Internationalization
Award recognizes the international success of high-tech innovative

ISA iEyeMeter: winner of the Innovation Award 2006
One of ISA's
most recent products, iEyeMeter, was the winner of the
Innovation Award of the European Utility Awards 2006 that were
announced at the award ceremony during Metering, Billing/CRM Europe
2006.
 iEyeMeter is a
non-invasive, easy to deploy wireless sensor network-based low-cost
automatic meter reading (AMR) system, based on an electronic eye. This
electronic eye is snapped onto the meter, and recognises visible signs
of commodity consumption (e.g. the rotating wheel in electromechanical
meters or the output LED in digital meters).
iEyeMeter
allows utilities to enjoy all the benefits of automatic meter reading
without having to incur the cost of replacing the existing meter park.
The Jury
said: “Although we have seen other examples of this technology, the
notable thing in this case is how it has been applied – a simple and
low-cost solution that offers energy savings and improved customer
service.” |
