What is telemetry?

Telemetry is the capability of measuring a quantity, transmitting the measured value to a distant place, over long distance communication links, such as satellite or telephone, and there, interpreting or recording the quantity measured.

What is M2M communications?

M2M is an abbreviation for machine-to-machine, a technology that supports wired or wireless communication between machines.

What is LPG?

Liquified Petroleum Gas. A mixture of butane, propane and other light hydrocarbons derived from refining crude oil.

What is SCADA?

SCADA stands for "Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition". A common process control application that collects data from sensors on site or in remote locations and sends them to a central computer for management and control. For example, SCADA can be used to control and monitor the status of a remote pumping facility from a water or wastewater facility.

What is digital video?

It is a term referring to moving pictures that are stored in binary form on a computer hard disk for editing or playback. Digital video files vary in terms of their image size (measured in horizontal and vertical pixels) and their frame rate (measured in frames per second).

What is frame rate?

Refers to the number of individual still pictures that pass by every second to create a moving image, typically described in frames-per-second (fps). Films run at 24fps, while video, including DVD, runs at 30fps. Higher frame rates improve the appearance of video motion.
